Ever feel invisible? You’re not alone.

A couple years ago, I was in Rome with an old friend. The last time we'd visited Italy together was when we were studying abroad in 1998.

Back then, we were constantly harassed by men—cat-called on the street and groped on buses. It was a drag, to say the least.

But this trip to Italy? We felt cute, but we were completely ignored. Nary a glance.

I’ve never felt so invisible in my life. And honestly, being ignored didn't feel great either.

I've been thinking about this experience since learning about what social scientists call "invisible woman syndrome"—that moment when women hit their 40s and 50s and suddenly find themselves overlooked in meetings, ignored by advertisers, and passed over for opportunities.

Feeling cute in Rome in our 40s

The cruel irony is that this invisibility strikes precisely when we're at our professional peak.

Research shows women over 45 often report feeling "erased" despite having more extensive networks, greater confidence, deeper expertise, and a clearer understanding of their strengths.

I am dedicated to creating brands and websites that make women impossible to ignore because I know that the moment when society tries to fade us out is exactly when we have the most to offer.

I’m not interested in making women seem "younger" or "trendier" or whatever the algorithm favors this week. We don’t all need to be making cutesy videos and lip syncing to memes. I focus on capturing what makes women extraordinary on their own terms:

→ The depth of expertise that can only come with decades of practice

→ The confidence to speak with authority

→ The clarity that comes from knowing exactly who they are and what they offer

My favorite clients are women who know they're at the top of their game. Women who refuse to shrink and who demand to be seen and valued for their expertise.

I don't just build websites. I build platforms for visibility that say: "Here I am, in my full authority. See me."

If you're ready to be seen and valued for your expertise, let's talk about creating a brand that commands attention. Just reply to this email and we'll set up a time to chat.

Goodies Just For You

WHAT I CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT: Dying for Sex on Hulu. Equal parts devastating and delightful, this series is about grief, DEEP female friendship and a woman finding herself and deciding, just in the nick of time, to not settle for an unsatisfying life. Be prepared to laugh your head off and cry your eyes out.

FAVORITE SNACK OF THE MOMENT: Banana, eaten straight out of the peel. But between every bite, pile on some peanut butter and a few dark chocolate chips. Protein, fiber, fruit, and even a superfood (we’re still calling dark chocolate a superfood, right?). Perfection.

WHO I'M ADMIRING: Ariana Wolfe of Flight Design Co was the first business coach I ever worked with and it is not hyperbole to say she changed my life. If you follow me on LinkedIn or spend any time with me, you've probably heard me talk about adjective goals. I got that from Ariana. She taught me to look at how I want my life to FEEL as a whole and to set any business and life goals with those adjective goals in mind. Now, my adjective goals (free, independent, secure) serve as my personal north star, guiding every major decision I make in both life and business. Also—Flight Design Co does gorgeous, mission-driven design work. Check them out!
