A Graphic Designer who Writes Copy

Have you ever felt like your “official” title doesn’t cover everything you do?

(Me too.)

For years, I’ve told people:

"I’m a graphic designer who writes copy."

But the more I think about it…

→ I start every project with writing.

→ Clients hire me for the headlines I write.

→ They tell me, “You perfectly put my thoughts into words.”

→ My copy becomes their elevator pitch.

So, am I still just a designer who writes copy?

Or a copywriter who designs websites?

Maybe this is all just proof of how tricky labels can be.

Here’s what I know for sure:

→ I’m a designer who understands that pretty designs don’t convert without strategic copy.

→ I’m a writer who knows how to make words look gorgeous on a page.

→ I’m a perfectionist who believes the magic happens when design and copy work together seamlessly.

And after designing more websites than I can count, I’ve especially learned this:

The magic happens in the overlap.

When words and design work together seamlessly, that’s when clients start:

  • Closing bigger deals

  • Attracting better clients

  • Selling with confidence
